Serbian antagonism against Austria was fueled by panslavism. So was Polish against German, Czechoslovakia was a rogue state with no legitimacy that oppressed its minorities, Russia had an expansionist ideology that put it at odds with Germany. There is of course much more to it.
Of course in the end German expansionist worldviews are blamed for everything in the end, but it is doubtful whether Germans even planned to colonise the entirety of Europe as pop-historians depict.
