When I first noticed thinning in my early twenties, I was in denial. I did not think it was possible to start balding at such a young age.
I also did not know about finasteride. Back then, it wasn't advertised as much as it is today. Also, the fear-mongering scared me away once I finally learned about it a few years after. But I did eventually muster enough strenght to go visit my doctor. the problem is my doctor scared the fuck out of me by warning me about side-effects. and he's the type of guy who will prescribe anything without hesitation so that made me decide not to take fin.
i also didn't know hair loss was irreversible. the hair follicles essentially die out once they get too much DHT damage.
in addition to that, I also did not know that hair transplants are not one-fix-all-solutions. a hair transplant is not going to help you much if you you're at a very advanced Norwood stage
