well as it stands i'm going to bed at around 5 am when i'll need to be waking up at around 7 so it's pretty much a worse case scenario. i might slip and slide around a bit over the course of 2 weeks, but it won't get nearly this bad again in that amount of time and that's what really counts
>>15911930well to be fair critical role is far unbelievably popular so clearly it has its appeals but it's certainly not the style for me
depends what you're looking for i guess. in theory there should be a lot more depth to player interactions and mercer tends to make his npcs rather deserved so that they don't get in the way of that, but it also relies on all the players being likeable and good roleplayers which is kind of a big ask. mulligan on the other hand seems to have really varied, eccentric, and outspoken npcs which ends up being shallower from a roleplay perspective but allows him as a professional DM to personally shoulder much more of the burden when it comes to roleplay and pacing an such so the quality is far far more consistent
also worth noting is that critical role is a game built to serve the people playing in it that also does its best to entertain an audience while dimension 20 is a show made for an audience that also tries to be fun for the players, so that might account for these sorts of differences as well
hul, sounds unfortunate. did he have a fix at least?
