why are her default male character always a conventionally attractive WHITE and TALL man? In Laney's comic universe there are no short bald protagonists, neither east asian or indian men as love interests, there are only handsome white/hispanic macho hombres with the occasional bleached Tyrone slipped in. Chick's "social commentary" inadvertently spills out more about her as an author than what she wishes to say about society. It tells us the story of a basic bitch going on tinder, swiping right on a minority of very attractive jerks who already have an abundance of options for casual sex, and then after dealing with their toxicity retroactively "getting back" at men in imaginary scenarios for purely therapeutic reasons.
