Not all panic attacks are the same.
Check your blood pressure, count how many breaths you take in a minute, etc., verify what kind of thoughts are causing anxiety, etc.
Then proceed with the best suited type of meditation for your issue.
Example, if you're extremely nervous and distracted with high blood pressure I would recommend a cold shower and a shot of liquor before starting meditation as it is scientifically proven both improve focus and calm your nerves.
If you, on the other hand, are breathing heavily, then start diaphragm breathing.
Mediation is both scientific and metaphysical, but you ain't just going to overwhelm your issues by willpower alone. It's just not possible. If it was, you wouldn't be suffering in the first place.
