All of these "if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek" is referring not to your eternal enemy that should be confronted, but rather to the someone who is unknowingly misguided and doesn't perceive truth due to his lack of understanding. It is about helping other people overcome their idiocy and poor judgment, guiding them to the one objective truth through kindness and altruism.
Anyway, Christianity wouldn't survived in such harsh environments back then if it was that "pacifist" as you're trying to tell us. Don't forget about how jews were confronted in the medieval Europe and don't forget about Crusades too.
