>>15952424>deus exI'd agree with you that it's better than all the other stuff of that time, yeah. And pretty much 99% of the stuff from now as well, actually.
Seems like you already enjoy it so there's not much to add on that, but, have you ever played mods for it?
There are more than a couple large scale ones, that even implement some ideas that the original developers didn't have the time for. Like being able to choose your own faction which changes the missions that you go through, and all that.
The catch is, the biggest out of these mods, I have a feeling that you'll find obnoxious, because it doesn't have the serious tone that the original does. But it's that it's just as good as the original in every other way, and with it's level design at the least, I'd say even better. It's called The Nameless Mod, so, check it out when you feel like it. If you happen to not like the setting, I'm sure that you'll be able to tune it out and just enjoy the gameplay anyhow, it's Deus Ex at it's finest. There are a couple other good ones, but, that's just the biggest and best. See if you like it first.
>sequelI'd recommend. It's nowhere near the experience of the original, but you'll still have a whole lot of genuine fun. Pretty solid. But one thing, if you do happen to play it, I'll give you a heads-up that it's definitely not as long as the first game. Don't save up your stuff and just use it. Or you'll find yourself ending the game with 30 EMP grenades, like I did.
>the only good shooter is a realistic shooterYou know, going back to it, if you mod Anomaly for S.T.A.L.K.E.R enough, it pretty much turns into a better Tarkov. Not even joking. It genuinely comes close and feels tacticool. I've played both and I honestly like the shooting more with heavily modded Anomaly, it feels more realistic for sure, cause Tarkov is kind of bullshit. Heavily modded is the key term, though. Still pretty shitty on it's own. If you wanna bother, look up the GAMMA modpack.
