>>15962354>>15962337think I said the same thing last thread but:
Monkey see monkey do is how u learn literally everything, there's noting wrong w copying. While u copy other artists try and think about how/why they do things a certain way. Set a timer to
If u want to be able to draw more of yr own stuff try taking multiple references and stitch them together. Literally by like editing them or just copy the parts u want
Also practicing the specific things (Hands, figures, animals, landscapes..) u want to draw will help. imo quantity over quality when yr learning smth with art. Just fill the page
I find setting a timer and seeing how many I can do before the time runs out helps to not get stuck on one drawing
Also practice what u acc want to draw. Like if u wanna draw anime or other stylized art learning realism only goes so far bc it doesn't teach u how to stylize things
Fundies never hurt to practice, if u wanna learn those grab some art books from /ic/ (don't use it for anything else its toxic af) and take the stuff u wanna learn from them. No need to go through the whole book or even do things in order. Bounce around once yr happy w yr progress to stay well rounded
Same kinda thing goes for video tutorials if yr not into books
Don't forget to have fun w it tho. Like if yr not wanting to draw bc of the studies take a break from them and just draw shit for fun. No reason to force yourself to do studies or stuff that's not fun unless u want to do art as a job.
hope my ramble makes sense and uhhh thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
