>>16030139I was disappointed when I first tried a Japanese cheesecake. Given my prior impression of America cheesecake I expected it to be creamy and sweet instead it was moist rather than creamy and fluffy as opposed to dense. The Japanese cake texture is akin to of a souffle, essentially a fluffy, spongecake-like feel as you bite into a slice. As for the flavour the options were the following: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, matcha, and melon. I tried matcha so unfortunately I cannot give it an accurate review of a traditional cheesecake, although the taste was quite dull. The Japanese cheesecakes are a great beginners pastry as the instructions are simple as the ingredients required: egg, cream cheese, and sugar.
