In Hinduism the idea is much more simpler and sensible, i.e. different manifestations or aspects of the same being/reality.
Christianity gets more complicated because they are each fully God. they aren't the same being that "appears" or "changes" forms but one being who exists eternally as three "persons". There is no change or mere appearances involved, it's eternal and the underlying God is the Trinity itself, not simply a formless God who takes the shape of the three beings.
