>>16038331evolution has a very low bar of what is deemed a success. basically, if you nut in woman and a child occurs, or if you get nutted in and you conceive a child, in the eyes of evolution you are a success. short time preference people often, due to its easy dopamine hit, are hedonistic people so it makes sense that they easily reproduce. still, evolution is a bit slow in that 'societal progress' train and still thinks we are hunter gatherers. in modern times, just having a child is no longer good enough. we need to make good children and, again, since that is hard, that often doesnt happen unfortunately
