>>16070790in general, practice a lot (like just drawing, doesn't really matter what) copy artists that you want to be more like and try to think abt why they do things a certain way. Watching them while they work help w this a lot, speed paints and real time both work
also balancing studies and stuff that's just for fun is v important cuz too much studying can make some ppl not want to draw at all
also there's no acc rules in art. There's guidelines n stuff that works in general but u can choose which "rules" u follow, bend, or completely break. as long as u end up making a nice drawing, u can do whatever u want :D
For improving on specific things art books and YouTube tutorials have worked for me
/ic/ has a lot of book resources but don't take "critiques" over there cuz it's mostly angry ppl telling everyone they're shit
pretty much anything u can draw has a tutorial is one format or another.
For me I usually go for art books with more focus on drawing examples than text/theory stuff n copy the pictures and take notes on things I notice show up repeatedly
