Germany arguably has a far bigger political and economical hold over estonia than russia does. Yet they willingly gave themselves away even though estonia was invaded by both russia and germany.
The other things is a mix of ego. You think that you are so important that clearly people covet what you have.
What does finland exactly have that russia would covet at a time like this?
Fertile lands for crowing crops? No
Natural resources?
Advanced nuclear technology?
If you stop puffing up your chest for just a moment and think logically, you will realize finland is not that special, it does not possess some kind of valuable assents that russia needs to capture right now.
But that would require you to swallow your ego for a moment and it's easier to dream about fantasies of persecution and how much everybody wants your hot sexy land.
Feeling special and desired is cute and all, but I think these public self mastrubations are degenerate and people should stop wasting time cooming to fanfiction and instead either do something productive, or go have fun with family or community members and have a good time.
