anyways you want to get the dolls on one layer and the rest of an image on another layer, you can use the lasso tool to carefully click them out or experiment with the select by colour tool. Once you have them in a selection you use crtl X then make a new layer and paste, then you can add the twin towers to the layer that no longer has dolls in it
