It kind of sucks being in the South where winters are short and mild, but with 1 harsh icey storm every once in a while. I wish there were mild winter tires with rubber designed for 20* to 70*. But every manufacturer says all season tires are for 45+ and winter tires are for 45 and below. All season tires are crap in ice, but winter tires would become low-grip hazards in the melting heat a month after an ice storm.
