Some people take excerpts from uncertain discussions and present them as if they were resolute statements of others' opinions.
They toss away context, exaggerate, do not ask for clarifications, do not account for sarcasm and lightheartedness, rephrase others' words into ways that suit them, and ignore degrees of possibility mentioned before others' statements.
Ultimately, it is caused by lack of understanding of the english language, limited mental capabilities, innate machiavellian personality and barbaric cultural environment during upbringing.
Some people are like that. I am not criticising and I am not pointing fingers, though I am sure everyone reading this knows a few people like this.
