I think generally these two things makes kids born around 2000 gen z, due to them growing up during 911, the wars in the middle east, growing up with terrorism, and pc culture, this being historically divided, growing up during the 2008 crash economically, and a refinement of the internet, incuding memes being the socail barrier between them and the previous generation.
