None of that technology will ever be available to regular people.
All the crisis' you see will be much worse than you can imagine, not in a way that might directly harm you, but in ways that make your quality of life much worse. Ways you and I can't think of or predict.
You lose an arm? There will be no cybernetic replacement, you'll just have no arm any more and there won't be any of that gives a shit. You'll be lucky to continue living.
That kind of thing is the future in store for all of us, not anything from this game.
