so for example while ever trying to speak japanese with wendy would be insane because she speaks native english, it would probably always be reasonable to do at a niziu fanmeet since being a japanese group is explicitly part of their appeal. gets a lot muddier if we imagine a scenario like meeting sana at a fanmeet in korea since it genuinely might be an easier way to communicate, but could also come across as me being judgmental of her english and/or cocky about my japanese proficiency, especially if i misjudge either
