Nearly all the beliefs in the world predict an age of darkness where religion will be felt as burdensome. The soil will turn barren, the very air will sicken and stagnate, and in this way old age and death will come upon the world. But then a new cycle will begin, an age of awakening and prosperity will lie ahead. Nature will be restored, man will again sing holy hymns and observe the eternal law.
