it's not like i think spending a lot of time on something more difficult isn't valuable, but i picked something easier not knowing that going through a large volume of text would be totally incompatible with the structure of the class. had i known that going in i just would've just done a chapter of a light novel and gotten far more out of the class than trying to find interesting/difficult sentences in a slice of life where there aren't any
