The rule I live by is that you can eat it if it looks good, smells good, and tastes good. Try a sample first... I ignore all (((expiration dates))) and occasionally refrigeration warnings.

Yeah most expiration dates are just an approximation, and usually manufacturers go way too safe with them to avoid complaints/lawsuits because some retard can't tell if something is spoiled or not

I think it also depends on individual sensitivity of the person, i. e. my mom get's food poisonings pretty easily, and i can eat whatever and almost never get those
