According to investigators, it was later determined that a highly sophisticated organized criminal enterprise based in Miami was targeting these Midwest beef and pork packaging plants.

A release states that on Oct. 20, three principle targets in the organized criminal enterprise were identified and arrested. Authorities recovered three tractor trailers with stolen merchandise valued at $550,000.
