Just recently started experimenting with sounding. ive done it a couple times now. Ive done my research and i believe im doing everything right. Im using an 8mm straight surgical steel rod, i use surgilube that isnt expired, i boil the rod for at least 10 minutes and let it cool before i use it, i use plenty of lube, i go slow and stop at the first bend. despite all this i get pain every time. i used a 4mm silicone sound the first time (went past the first bend that time) and the pain was unbearable. after switching to a steel sound it isnt nearly as bad but its still quite uncomfortable. i really like the idea of sounding and would like to enjoy it but im starting to think its not all that great. Does anyone know of anything i might be doing wrong or have any general advice?
