>>16446777In the UK most household don't have seperate vents for basin, sink, washing machine, dishwasher, they all go straight into the 110mm stack which is vented, unless it's a stub stack with an AAV on the ground floor. Basin is 32mm with a horizontal length of 1.4m and 40mm at 1.8m for the rest of appliances. When it's a 40mm T piece most houses don't have vents either. I don't like the idea that new houses have these fitted by design now as I think they should all have their own seperate pipe, but it is what it is and most ignore the rules regarding how many appliences should be fitted on a horizontial run in cubicles.
One hotel where I was contracted to finish off fitting toilets had only ONE soil stack and its termination was in a airing cupboard with a fucking AAV three stories high. I told the owner of the hotel to fuck off with me putting my name to the comissioning of it, said it was a bomb waiting to happen. He then said "Well, we've never had a problem on our other hotels", so I sarcastically said to him "You've got lots of bombs then". Got paid for the work but told him to get another sucker to sign it off.
