As a subject matter expert, I won't specify how, I will say with absolute confidence that the NSA is not spying on 4chan. Not because 4chan isn't getting spied on, but because the US Intel community is FIERCELY territorial about jurisdiction and 4chan is a US based company. The FBI would never let the NSA touch it in any capacity.
