Let us a consider a simple computer simulation. The screen is filled with dots of various colours, that move about randomly. The dots are given properties: certain combinations of dots will stick together when they touch. Also, the dots will have an attractive force on each other. Over time, clumps of dots would would form, with spaces in between. The larger clumps would exert more attractive force, thus leading to all the dots eventually being part of one clump or another, with predictably some of the clumps circling around others due to the attractive forces causing curved paths..an equilibirum state would form where everything continued as it was indefintely.
So given an initial state of a universe of particles distributed evenly, with similar properties. it is entirely predictable that we would end up with the universe we have now, where giant balls of particles have formed with nothing much inbetween.
The actual question is, where did all the dots come from, not how did stars and planets form. That part is entirely explainable given the initial conditions.
The reason we exist on this particular planet with all the condition seemingly perfect for us to exist, is because ..all the conditions are perfect for us to exist. There are many other planets we know of that have different conditions that do not allow life to exist. This is one that does.
To say "all this cannot exist without intelligent design" then leads to the quextion, "how can the intelligent designer exist without more intelligent design?" It makes more sense to me that complexity emerges from simplicity repeating than a more complex thing than the thing you are trying to explain the existence of, existing itself without cause or explanation.
