>>16557664>FaithYour beliefs in something beyond materialism, spirituality and the presence of something like a soul, a component of self that isn't measured by material means. Something that you hold as a truth outside the material realm, more than just a whim or desire, not relativist, something one would find inalienable.
>TheologyThe study and nature of (a deity/deities/however buddhists put it for their lack of a deity but still having immaterial faith) and religious beliefs, mostly the written parts and discussions and system that developed around your faith. It's rather broad, and can include discussions like dualism, mono or poly, or heno, and the nature of existence (Material and immaterial). The Greeks had plenty of works and discussions to fulfill this, for example, but I never see them cited in these threads, Shaivists too, but similarly, it doesn't get brought up. There's plenty of people that don't dig into the deeper details, but those that argue over their faith ought to at least have their toes in it if they want to convince others.
I don't proclaim there's no pagan faith or theology, the Greeks had plenty, the problem modernly is that people take an utterly post industrial mindset to it and try to fabricate a worldly religion that adheres to the material and it's theology is little more than doctrines from worldly institutions, (IE, state worship, media worship).
The one nordic guy I had a conversation with that fulfilled both had faith beyond the material, and admitted the lack of written material and actively worked to preserve what was at hand and proliferate it, and so while small, showed an actual understanding and attempt to uphold and stick to their theology, rather than bend it and fill in the gaps merely to their whims and desires. These threads usually devolve into people just screaming "Kike religion" and "My genes" and then accusations of who's worse, rather than sharing in values and faith.
