>>16592861I love motor racing of all kids, and although I'm more of a motorcycle guy, cars are a close second. The only type of racing I can't stand these days is NASCAR, which has devolved from an awesome type of muscle car racing into the mess it is today.
This is the first time I've heard of these LMP3 cars. I'll definitely have to look into them. Most kinds of racing where the cost is lower for the owners of the cars is usually better than the high-profile stuff like F1, Indy, GT, etc. although I like those too. My father is really into racing these new-ish Shelby Cobra clones made by Factory Five—a kit car manufacturer. They're built to the exact specs that the original Cobras were, but obviously a tiny fraction of the cost, and they use Mustang powerplants and drivetrains; lots of fun, tons of horsepower, very cool.
I really love the old Group B rally cars, but it's sad there is such little footage of them racing.
I've had a lot of fun watching the TONS of full-length races from the late 1950's all the way through the 1980's in videos I found on YT recently. Everything from early drag racing and NASCAR to early touring cars, international superbike races, Isle of Man TT, to very early motocross. Awesome stuff.
