You may be in love, but it doesn't sound like he is, from what you've said he appears to treat you like a possession, a cocksleeve who can cook. My advice would be to tell him things are moving too fast, and you need some time to think things through. In the meantime, get a pet (maybe a small dog or turtle) and consider giving the other person a chance, or see how things go with your friend from scuba school.
