It's the suit of the people, for convience and other social factors. Nowadays genders are all fucked up so male and female clothing in the industry doesn't make much sense.
>>16627366Pretty much, but even the best dress today is not what it was like back then for the aristocracy/bourgeois in the 18/19th century. The "fine dentelle" is forever lost from what I've read for a long time, the definition is just not the same today. Its more like cosplay playing in our days, c'est la mode. There is no statue of power whatsoever and there is no meaning of wearing a top hat for example, or a classy dress but to show off privately.
