Stopped by the euthanasia center earlier today. There were maybe 300 people waiting to be euthanized, mostly NEETs, drug addicts, and mentally ill people. Some teenagers too, since Canada has this concept called “mature minor” that allows people under the age of 18 to consent to euthanasia. They're all kept in cages and jail cells for the safety of the staff because many of them are unstable.

I'm supposed to get euthanized in a few months but I want to get it over with as soon as possible, so I asked some people who work there if there was any way I could get transferred to some alternate program and expedite the process, but a lot of them didn't really speak English well enough to help me with such a complex task. Eventually, I found out that euthanasia is a very heavily regulated process in Canada, and there are strict procedures meant to ensure that the euthanasia doesn't result in a waste of energy that would make the program unsustainable
