i know you're being ironic but i hadn't actually considered staying in a ryokan instead of a standard hotel. would still much rather take the train than the plane, but if i have to end my route in nagoya either way it might be worth just turning in early to a ryokan instead of trying to explore the city a bit before bed

>>16704953i do, but it's one of those situations where so long as i'm staying conscientious my timing is likely to improve no matter what i play for now so widening the scope of songs makes it easier to stay motivated as well as giving me a much higher chance of having some sort of eureka moment where a general concept clicks because of the way it's applied to a specific song
there's certainly plenty of place for really grinding specifics out later on and i need to stay mindful of putting things down when i'm obsessing over details rather than just bored/lazy, but for now it's better to diversify i think
it also unlocks the ability to make a playlist of songs i know and just run it on shuffle to jam out a bit which is a very comfy way to practice those songs that do need tightening
