>Out of the 3 main Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden and Denmark) almost no companies, ideas or cultural phenomenons come from Norway. Lego was invented in Denmark, Maersk Group is the second largest shipping with amazingly large ships.
>Sweden founded 3 successful car manufacturers (Saab, Volvo and Koeningsegg) while Norway had a handful of failed ones. Sweden has a massive defense industry, lots of music has come from there, and Minecraft was programmed there. Hans Christian Andersson is a great danish writer, Astrid Lindgren is a great swedish writer, but Norway has no one of that caliber. Spotify and Ericsson was founded in Sweden, but Norway has barely made a dent on the world of technology.
>Norway doesn't even have any special food, like dansk fleskestej. Norway feels almost like a non-country. Like someone just placed a bunch of Scandinavian towns and cities on a landmass, but had no unifying charactaristics. Norway could be absorbed by either Denmark and Sweden quite easily because it has nothing of it's own.
