>>16720519>you sure as fuck don't save it for your kidsI can't exactly blame them. Boomers are cancer, but their kids literally demanded that inheritance be abolished because it was unearned privileges and perpetuates racism etc. Now those same kids are complaining that they didn't get the inheritance they said was immoral. Boomers can't keep up with the ever changing media-manufactured morality of younger generations so they just stop engaging with them. Boomer morality evolved at the speed of TV, while millennial and zoomer morality evolves at the much faster speed of social media. Boomers are still on nation of immigrants and the holocaust. They still think it's wrong to call blacks "negros" and that the politically correct term is now "colored", completely missing the fact that they are a broken clock and that the politically correct term has changed 4+ times since then and only coincidentally happens to be "people of color" now. They notice that the left are hyper aggressive towards them despite all of them being communists in college, so they adopt dumb reactionary positions in order to punch back against things they used to support without really knowing why they are being punched in the first place. Mass media divides generations by creating different idols, different culture, different language etc for each generation. When every generation has a different social context from every other, the society is completely unable to function on a collective level. Every time a new generation is born, they get new pop stars, new music, new movies, new references etc and this isolates them from previous generations, and these cultural barriers are what prevent large scale action against the system. There has never been a successful revolution orchestrated by a single generation in isolation because young people are too dumb to know what they are fighting for and old people are too past their prime to fight for it.
