As soon as he turned away like that, the officer should have immediately created distance and tazered the fucker, even if he didn't attack, he was absolutely thinking about it.
They have low I.Q. and rationalization skills, they aren't consciously away of telegraphing and this is the outcome of it. I've studied youtube videos of seeming random nog attacks and in every single on of them, you can see the exact second they fail the impulse control and go for the attack.
I'm pretty sure this is where the "never relax" thing comes from, be aware of this type of body language anytime you interact with a black male. They will lick the lips, look away and look back, and then the attack commences.
It sucks but officers should be trained on this behavior and it would mitigate surprise attacks by a huge margin.
