>>16728421All about socialization. My girl was a white 40lb pit and I got her at 7 months. I took her everywhere to meet all sorts of people, dogs, and even cats. She was extremely sweet, never bit anyone or anything besides a vet when she was half blind and confused at 16 and it was just a nip, didn't break skin. She knew when she was out to be nice, she knew everyone I would let into my house when I wasn't there, and if I was with someone not to be overprotective. My neighbors all loved her, and my young niece was her favorite (would sleep with her over anyone else when she was visiting), and she was a real hit at the local bar. She was a good girl till the end, could walk her without a leash and eat beef rib bones like a machine. Miss her, but not as much as my maine coon and blue heeler/border collie mix. Gonna get another one some day, small one though so probably another female or male mixed with a smaller breed.
