It gets even weirder when you consider that the bible never actually tells you to celebrate the nativity and yule is a pagan holiday.
Easter is meant to be THE christian holiday, to celebrate the ressurection

Either way, the bible doesn't tell you to celebrate it and some christians forgo the holiday considering it to be a pqgan tradition that is never mentioned in the bible, unlike easter. Jesus wasn't even born in december.

Well it does have something to do with Christmas, but it's the other way round, a Scandinavian king put the Yule festival on Christmas (which pre-dated the Yule festival) to convert the Norse Pagans
