Jesus was a homeless man who taught outcasts and feasted with prostitutes. If he were alive today no one would care what he was doing because he wouldn't look like a "Good Christian" or a "Good Citizen.

Jesus represented a wholly revolutionary idea, all people are intrinsically worth caring for, worth loving. That doesn't play well on the news.
