It was obvious it wouldn't be very good. The animations look nice (and at least the first trailer they released had good graphics) but nobody knows how to make a fun game anymore. For AAA games (and yes, this is one even though it's made by Ukrainians) its either corridor shooters or open world "create your own fun" sandboxes. The fact that it was coming to consoles was already a big red flag. I haven't been interested in playing any new games for a while now because of this bullshit.

Don't even care how it looks.
STALKER was cool for the atmosphere, free roaming, gear-based progression, story that you can ignore most of the time, slow-paced, suspenseful exploration, random shit that can happen, etc.
What I fear is that STALKER 2 will be more of a movie game or be full of butthurt political messaging.

It’s completely impossible to please anyone because the OG games have been out for 20 years almost and have been getting modded that entire time into what the player base precisely wants.
