I spent 500 on asus laptop and it's perfectly okay. what the fuck does a macbook even offer at this point, everything is soldered in, a ton of shit doesn't run on it, you get like 512 GB of storage and 2 GB RAM in the year of our lord 2022. Processing power isn't remarkable. The Retina displays are nothing special now. Speakers can't be that great. The aluminum body is what we're paying for?

I bought 2 Apple MacBook Air machines
& 1 MacBook Pro. I got them all from dated years; like. And the software was having a fritz without much Big Sur support (or x86 or whatever [or much 64-bit])
So

When it has an Ethernet port, the drivers for wifi are easier to find,
But honestly?
I liked not having them on the device.
