Trying to make it about two nations is just silly and unproductive trolling. That said, Russia is making a rookie mistake of fighting a proxy war in their own backyard. The two arms dealers of the world are supplying weapons for this war and making a ton of money from it. If Russia was a real world power, they would be supplying weapons to a war as well ... but certainly not one that they have to fight themselves.
