But I have a Theory; I would like to present, about the "Leftist Look", as leftists like to signal visually their political opinions.
It starts with make-up. No matterwhat women say make-up is for, Scientifically and Historically we know thay make-up is a way for sexual signalling. It is a way to make it look like you're aroused. Red lipstick, because lips become red when aroused. Red cheeks, same reason.
So basically, Leftists / Feminist women are aware of this, eiher consciously or unconsciously. And since they hate "Muh Male Gaze", the act of being percieved by men as "Muh Sexual Object", they fight back, at least superficially, by changing their make-up, the colors, their general appearence.
Being fat and obese is a direct attack against the male gaze + also muh Intersectionality and "Muh Handicap = therefore can't work,
= therefore Communism Gib money plz"
So to conclude, the bright color neon lipstick, overweight fat, weird and disgusting tattoos, piercings, hairstyle and neon-coloured hair; All of that is not-only a visual marker for their political opinions, but also a way to Fight the Male Gaze, and therefore fight Muh Patriarchy.
I have to say, It's pretty smart, because these disgusting looking women make themselves appear less attractive to men, but still compete in the Beauty competition with other women.
And finally : They are unhappy with the rules of Beauty, that's why they are trying to change the Normal Beauty Conventions.
They are usually ugly and overweight, that's why they are trying to change the rules of what men like.
That's why Body Positivity is one of their main cause to fight for.
