they planned many more seasons but i kid you not Fox canned them because they thought Seth Mcfarlands Cleveland Show would be more popular than a show about Texas.
to think KOTH died only because they wanted to make room for a family guy spinoff about nigger culture that no niggers even watched

Jesus, that's the reason? I never really watched it much before it got canceled. My roommate in college would watch it really loud in the middle of the night so I developed a sour taste for hearing the theme song. It is kinda good it ended before it had a chance to go south, but for The Cleveland Show?

to be fair KOTH was running out of material and started to get real weird, and iirc the Cleveland Show is set in Georgia or something so its not racially/geographically motivated

Family Guy was also much more popular, so a spinoff from it was likely to also do well. It worked for American Dad, so why not Cleveland Show?

I'm happy KOTH ended where it did and didnt go on forever and get bad like The Simpsons did.

also, there was another KOTH-like show that Judge did, except about a liberal family somewhere in the northern US. It just wasn't as funny as KOTH and died quietly.

rather than being about a family who happens to be texan but would ultimately get into the same situations anywhere, it was very much "liberals doing liberal things in liberal land" and just did not have the same kind of humor as KOTH. the premise and structure was similar but it was more of a "hot real world issue of the week" kinda show that dated itself instantly and had really forced "le truf is le in le middle but le characters clash le anyway :^)" kinda humor

it really was basically just a less edgy, not funny South Park
