There is no way that the average Chinese has a higher iq than the average Taiwanese when controlling for reasonable factors. I'd want to see how this data was collected, what the confidence / error is, etc. Maybe they only sampled Beijing/Shanghai/Shenzhen or something. Chinese from second-tier cities or below are there for a reason. My other thought is that they might not have controlled for age. Taiwan is an older society, and old people will test lower than young people as their brains deteriorate.
