Spain was already doomed when Los Reyes Catolicos siezed power. They increased taxes on Castilla that almost destroyed it. The succesive kings kept increasing the taxes even more making Castilla one of the most underdevelopted place. Castilla was one of the most powerfoul countries on Europa in 1400. The wars with the rest of Europa's countries was the excuse to make poorer Castilla and enrich the Dutch, the French and the Algos.
