gamers predominantly white males -> gaming space occupied by and controlled by white males -> they start saying things without other groups being able to do anything about it (in the immediate) -> some of those things are racist and nobody in the group cares -> nigger becomes a word used by gamers as one of the few groups that can say it without repercussions, therefore "the gamer word"
of course gamers are a lot more oppressed these days and it's a lot harder for them to freely express gamer culture
