I’m having my first kid with my wife and I’m realizing you cannot be 100% honest with them like when you’re with the boys. Hollywood and entertainment had led me to believe that women are capable with addressing the truth but they are not. As a man you must take their toxic teenage habits of being the center of attention and address it’s detriment, not return the criticism: they cannot handle it and will return it ten fold and they have much more endurance when it comes to words. You must as a man, swallow your pride since you are not arguing with another man, and you must tell them that even thinking those things does nothing good. You must do this is a strong compassionate tone, not a loud one.
