By removing different ways of spelling (counting a and A as the same digit), I was also removing different ways of spelling "fug", which meant more attempts.
What I don't get is the division of original attempts (39^3/48). I know the dividend is what it would take with only the three spaces, so the divisor should be related to the free spaces.
You have 8 spaces, and the possible places where it could happen are 6.
What I don't understand is what the multiplication means
