When you apply for a job and agree to work for someone else you are agreeing to work for them to help them make money with your time and labor. While there you should do just that but also network with others, learn as much as you can to do good work and pay raises and/or promotions. If you want to leave then leave. Most employees just bitch ans wine that they dont get paid enough but they barely do any work, never learn any real skills, and are a drag for everyone around them and the company and deserve to replaced by AI or robots.

No, you are making money, paying bills, with left over money you can put towards retirement, savings, investments. Try to make good connections with coworkers, supervisors, managers. Evaluate every aspect of the operation as if you were going to open a competing business. Lots of business do not update their business model (Sears, Blockbuster) and die off, but if can see the future you might be able to set your own company and get rich. Why do you need human sack answering calls when AI can do it?
